The silly season is almost upon us – and despite it being a very busy time with a lot of hard work, it’s the time of year that our team and I enjoy the most. Christmas is an opportunity for a feast that has no limits, no boundaries and is a time to live it up with our closest family and friends.
My memories of Christmas in Auckland are of a fun time with my brothers and family and now we have children of our own, I love that we can make more special memories with them. After becoming a parent, I enjoy Christmas even more so than when I was a kid – reliving the excitement of Santa and his reindeer as well as cooking a great feast for all our family.
We are so lucky to have so much variety, quality and freshness of produce in Australia – Christmas is the time to celebrate and make the most of it. The more people we have at our Christmas lunch, the better – the more delicious options we can have on the table!
To get you all organised with your own Christmas feast, we’re now taking orders for all your Christmas fare. Please don’t hesitate to ask our friendly, experienced team any questions you have regarding your festive spread. We love new ideas and recipes and are happy to help in any way we can to help you fulfill your Christmas feast wishes!
Our farmers are doing it tough at the moment so our main objective with all our suppliers this season is to support them and endorse their high quality. We have wonderful free range turkeys, hams and Christmas pudding all organised to arrive.
As always, we’re in store or on the phone 6 days a week. Please let us know if you would like anything put aside for an order, we would love to help!
Cheers,
Stef
What are the sausages that you traditionally cook along with the Christmas turkey?
Traditionally Pork Chippolatas are cooked with a Christmas Turkey. We have thin Pork sausages available on our website here: https://millins.com.au/butcher-shop/thin-pork-sausages/ – or our Pork Chippolatas using the same recipe are available in store. Thanks!
