A chicken inside a duck inside a turkey? The boys at Millin’s Fine Food Butcher of Balgowlah Heights show you how to make this Christmas a memorable – and tasty – one.

If you’ve got hungry mouths to feed this Christmas and are looking for an easy and delicious free range feast, then try Millin’s Turducken, a beautifully seasoned dish of nested birds.
If your mouth isn’t already watering, read on as owner Stef Millin explains the process: “We start with chicken breast fillet covered with our mango and hazelnut seasoning, topped with duck breast then cranberry and pistachio seasoning. Then we wrap it all up with free range turkey breast. They only take two hours to cook and serve eight to 10 people. It’s an easy, gourmet treat for Christmas day and great value at only $ 79 each.”
Stef goes on to explain that his customers have steered away from the traditional whole turkey in recent years and are now opting for the less fuss alternative of this boneless feast. “Last year we rolled 700 Turduckens, this year we are hoping to crack 1000!”
Millin’s is also the place to go to for the best sausages in town. Their Moroccan Lamb and Raisin Sausage was awarded Champion Gourmet Sausage at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show last year, beating 140 other entries from around the country. The balance between the spices and sweet raisins is a match made in heaven and a perfect addition to your holiday time barbecues.
Other Christmas fare available at Millin’s includes their free range hams, traditional puddings and free range pork, along with a range of condiments including a homemade Orange Mustard ham glaze.
Orders should be placed early, either over the phone on 9948 1342, by emailing christmas@millins.com.au or in person at Millin’s in Balgowlah Heights.
