For Millin’s Free Range Butcher, 2016 saw us proudly rename and rebrand our business after five years building our top quality, fine food following. We then launched our online store and home delivery service, which is growing week by week; we were voted third best butcher shop in Sydney (rest assured we’ll be gunning for number one this year); we picked up a heap more sausage awards at the various annual competitions; we cooked up a whole lamb on our new charcoal spit and everyone got a taste, but most importantly our fantastic team had a ball looking after each and every customer whom we value so much.
Bring on 2017! I am so excited for the year ahead! To kick things off we’re getting really excited about our suckling pig weekend. You’ll be able to order a leg, a loin, a shoulder or a whole pig and will be able to have a succulent free range suckling pig on your table without all the fuss. What a treat!
The meat on suckling pigs is so juicy and sweet and the wafer thin crackling is to die for.— The weekend will be happening March 10 and 11 so please feel free to leave an order or your details with us in store, or by phone or stef@millins.com.au and we will be sure to keep you some aside!
Our Knife Sharpener is back!
After much success last year, we’ll be holding another knife sharpening weekend on the 25th February. The last time we offered our knife sharpening service, we had such a great turnout that we’re really hoping to keep even more knives safe and sharp again this time. Stu Austin our master blade sharpener, sharpens kitchen knives, boning knives, bread knives, scissors, secateurs, hedge clippers — almost anything with a blade. Don’t forget to mark it in your diary and get your knives ready to go.

Millin’s turns 6!
Throughout the year ahead, we’ll be having our 6th birthday celebrations and plenty more fun to be had as well. Personally, I’m also really excited to see our little girl Stella grow during the year — maybe you’ll be lucky enough to catch her in the shop on a visit.
