Yes, we’ve been a little quiet in the blog-o-sphere this year, with very good reason – we’ve been busy winning more awards!
This year we had four first place winners in the Australian Meat Industry Council Sausage King Awards, with our Pork, Orange and Marmalade, Thick Beef and Moroccan Lamb & Raisin Sausages, as well as our Balgowlah Beef Burgers all picking up the top award in the North Shore & Northern Beaches Region.
In October we took a full table of the team to the State Awards night and were thrilled to pick up the award for the Best Butcher’s Beef Burger in New South Wales. Yes, that’s right, your little local butcher shop makes the best burgers in the whole State… if that isn’t a reason to have a BBQ and invite your friends over for Beer and Burgers, I don’t know what is! Next stop for us is the national round of awards to be held in Perth in February, where we’ll hopefully be crowned the producers of the best beef burgers in the country.
These awards have been the highlight of our 2018 and overall this year has been another great one for our shop. Although myself and Steve have been working more from behind the scenes the last few months, the familiar faces of Ian, Garry, Jack, Murray and Ronnie have kept up the smiles, quality meat, gourmet inventions and exceptional service we love providing you with.
Once again we have been major sponsors to our two local primary schools, St Cecilia’s and Balgowlah Heights Public, and have donated to many of our loyal customers in their charity and fundraising efforts. We count ourselves very lucky to be in such a fantastic community that support us by choosing to walk through our door each week – we do our best to make sure you have a great experience every time.
With the silly season set to commence, I’d like to remind everyone that once again we’re offering online ordering for pickup or home delivery for all your Christmas meats – get your orders in early and tick it off your to-do list!
